Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - the world is a family
Über mich – Freddy Bertram
Ich bin Freddy – Kulturanalytiker M.A. und Sonderpädagoge B.A.
Gestaltung transportiert Haltung. Sprache formt Beziehung. Design zeigt, in welcher Welt wir leben (wollen).
Unser Ansatz: digital, holistic, human
Digital – neueste Technik sinnvoll genutzt.

About Me – Freddy Bertram
I am Freddy – Cultural Analyst (M.A.) and Special Education Teacher (B.A.) – and I spent formative time in India as part of my research, including in Goa.
With an ethnological perspective, I explore the symbolic layers of things and actions and seek to situate them within broader historical currents. Panta rhei – everything flows.
Design Is Never Neutral
When creating informational texts or flyers, unconscious meanings and readable aesthetics almost always play a role.
There is a reason why surgical clothing is often kept in a specific shade of green. In our practice, clothing often features earth tones – for an anxious patient, a sense of visual “grounding” can feel far more reassuring than treatment in a glossy black environment.
I therefore approach design analytically and with psychological and pedagogical awareness:
How can the language of material objects contribute to a positive practice experience?
How can spatial design positively influence the psyche?
Which flyer design supports the message of the space – and thus the philosophy of the practice?
Because a flyer is never just paper, a room is never just function, and an informational video is never just explanation. Design conveys attitude. Language shapes relationships. Design shows the kind of world we live in – and want to live in.
Our Approach: Digital, Holistic, Human
Digital – using state-of-the-art technology in a meaningful way.
Holistic – thinking comprehensively: your jaw in connection with your teeth, your musculature, your body, your psyche, your environment, your planet. Your cosmos – that is holism.
Human – a humanistic perspective that raises the question: How can an accepting, people-centered attitude be translated into dental culture?
Team Building & Leadership
In addition to theoretically grounded design decisions and the preparation of information, I bring this perspective into team building through my many years of experience as a coach in special education contexts. My thinking has been shaped by social psychology following Erich Fromm, the freedom-oriented rational social analysis of Critical Theory, and the accepting view of human beings found in the humanistic psychology of Carl Rogers. Development emerges where people are accepted and empowered to take responsibility.
For me, the concept of Tribal Leadership builds a bridge between coaching and practice. Culture develops through cooperation, creative exchange, and the unfolding of personalities. Working together – in solidarity, with shared strength, in flat hierarchies and genuine commitment to you, the patients – creates a healthier environment than outdated authoritarian structures where no one truly thrives.
Information with Lightness
The TAYA information concept (They Ask, You Answer) also informs my work. Our aim is to provide clear, honest, and as comprehensive information as possible so that together we can make the right decisions.
TAYA as Yoga
Beyond being a profession, I understand my work as a form of yoga. TAYA, in this sense, also reflects Karma Yoga – acting in service of a greater idea, not purely for personal gain. Acting socially.
Jnana Yoga represents the search for knowledge and deeper understanding. Dentistry, viewed this way, can be a path of yoga – another perspective.
In this spirit, I support the practice as an in-house analyst and educator. I develop patient survey–based blog articles, informational videos, and educational materials – pedagogically grounded, aesthetically considered, and as humanly accessible as possible.
We create information in the form of blog posts or videos. After all, many of us prefer watching a video to reading long, dense texts. Don’t we? We strive to present even more complex topics in a way that is engaging, approachable, and with a certain lightness.
Homo ludens – the human being is a playful being.
Curriculum Vitae – A Brief Background
In 2025, I received certification as a teacher of Values and Ethics in Lower Saxony, Germany. Previously (in 2020), I worked for some time as a scientific advisor in a start-up providing interdisciplinary consultation for the product development of Moringa oleifera – within the cultural and biological context of a cultivation project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic brought the project to an abrupt end. Today, I develop marketing concepts within the cultural field of dentistry rather than in the practical field of cultivating and processing the moringa tree.
Thank you for your time.
Om Namah Shivaya – I bow to the grandeur of the cosmos.
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family.
